Alors que les femelles pr\u00e9sentent g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement des r\u00e9ponses immunitaires plus fortes, le r\u00f4le du sexe dans les MICI n'est pas toujours clair. Cette \u00e9tude avait pour but d'explorer les diff\u00e9rences li\u00e9es au sexe et la susceptibilit\u00e9 inflammatoire dans le mod\u00e8le de colite le plus utilis\u00e9. Nous avons suivi des souris d\u00e9ficientes en IL10 (IL-10-\/-) jusqu'\u00e0 l'\u00e2ge de 17 semaines et avons caract\u00e9ris\u00e9 leur ph\u00e9notype inflammatoire colique, ainsi que les modifications de leur microbiote. Nous avons identifi\u00e9 les souris femelles IL-10-\/- comme \u00e9tant plus enclines \u00e0 d\u00e9velopper une inflammation intestinale, avec une augmentation du miR-21 f\u00e9cal, et un microbiote plus \u201cd\u00e9l\u00e9t\u00e8re\u201d par rapport aux m\u00e2les. Nos r\u00e9sultats fournissent des informations pr\u00e9cieuses sur les diff\u00e9rences entre les sexes dans la physiopathologie de la colite et soulignent l'importance de prendre en compte le sexe lors de la mise en place de nos exp\u00e9riences. While females typically exhibit stronger immune responses, the role of sex in IBD remains unclear. This study aimed to explore the sex-dependent differences and inflammatory susceptibility in the most extensively used IBD mouse model as they developed colitis. We monitored IL10-deficient mice (IL-10-\/-) up to 17 weeks of age and characterized their colonic and fecal inflammatory phenotype, as well as their microbiota changes. Here, we originally identified IL-10-\/- female mice as more prone to developing intestinal inflammation, with an increase in fecal miR-21, and dysbiosis with more detrimental characteristics compared to males. Our findings provide valuable insights into the sex-based differences in the pathophysiology of colitis and emphasize the importance of considering sex in experimental designs. Moreover, this study paves the way for future investigations aiming at addressing sex-related differences for the development of adequate disease models and therapeutic strategies, ideally enabling personalized medicine.<\/p>","documents":null},"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v26.8 -
